Mash potatoes got the best of me once again.
Yesterday’s lesson included a side of potato puree. Feeling like my last potato mash was a success I volunteered to take the lead. I pealed, diced, boiled, strained and riced. In a small saucepan I heated the butter and heavy cream, seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper. I scrupulously followed the recipe’s direction, and what did I end up with?!?!? Potato soup in which I turned into potato paste with very little effort!
